WHAT THREE THINGS INSPIRE YOU THE MOST ABOUT MINISTRY?

Pr. Ssentongo Joshua is inspired by church leaders who give direction of how things are fone in the church in all ministries. Inspired by leaders who delegate and supervise ministries. Foremost, I am inspired by the patriarchs of the bible who really exemplify Godly character this also applies to today’s church members.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT MINISTRY THAT ROUSES YOUR GREATEST INTEREST AND ATTENTION?

I love working with young people. Timothy of the bible is a good example. Daniel and his friends is another. I am also moved by the story of Paul and Peter did when they preached and multitudes of people accepted Jesus Christ. I detest hypocrisy and I love to put all my attention on the assigned duty entrusted to me putting God first, reading, studying and meditating on God’s Word and the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Honesty, integrity and self-esteem are very important in a person’s life.

WHERE DO YOU SEE THE CENTRAL UGANDA CONFERENCE IN 10 YEARS FROM NOW?

I envision Central Uganda Conference growing and giving birth to other conferences. This is achievable if all stakeholders grew to the level of maturity of being faithful stewards and servants of God. When every pastor holds a holistic ministry not leaving any gap, the conference will have a balanced labor force of the trained laity and clergy. With the supportive responsibility in every congregation, district and station, this Central Uganda Conference will grow into a Union conference upon full growth of all entities to conference and field level. This is my earnest prayer and wish.

FAVORITE VERSE

I and my family find a lot of encouragement in Joshua 2:8-9.

Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea[a] for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed. When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below.
