The Seventh-day Adventist Church on the 10th of April-2021, joined in prayer to thank the Lord for sustaining the Kabaka of Buganda and as well to dedicate his leadership of the Buganda kingdom to His guidance. This thanks-giving and dedicatory prayer preceded a series of other events to mark the 66th birthday of his royal highness the Kabaka of Buganda which is celebrated every 13th of April.

In attendance was the Buganda Kingdom minister in charge of internal affairs, honourable Mpanga David who delivered the message from his royal highness the king of Buganda to the congregation. In his message, the Kabaka encouraged the youth to stay vigilant against the killer disease HIV/AIDS through behavioural change and avoidance of risky behaviour. He also encouraged parents to continually support girl-child education. The procession was led by the bishop of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Central Uganda Conference, Pr. Kajoba Samuel who prayed in thanksgiving for the Lord’s continual providence, protection, and sustenance of his royal highness the Kabaka and the kingdom at large. He also prayed for peace and continual good leadership of the Kabaka over his kingdom.
