Total Member Involvement

Total Member Involvement is a full-scale, world-church evangelistic thrust/campaign that involves every member, every church, every administrative entity, every type of public outreach ministry, personal and institutional outreach.

What Can I do?
Everyone can do something to hasten the coming of Jesus! “We have no time to lose. Every moment is golden and altogether too precious to be devoted merely to self-serving.” You can:

  • Pray for the advancement of the Gospel in hard-to-reach areas of the world. Pray for fortitude on behalf of workers who are currently serving. Pray that God will show you how you can work in His vineyard.
  • Support Adventist World Radio, Hope TV, the Voice of Prophecy, or other Bible schools, so their work can continue over the airwaves.
  • Support and pray for Adventist Mission and indigenous workers in unentered areas.
  • Participate in local and institutional health outreach events, such as health expos, or Pathway to Health events.
  • Get involved in a Sabbath school care group, or church outreach.
  • Volunteer with a local Community Service event or ADRA project.
  • Organize a health seminar, small group, Bible study, or evangelistic series in your home using the New Beginnings DVD.
  • Help with Children’s, youth, or Pathfinder community service projects.
  • Volunteer with evangelistic events, Revelation Seminars, or Prophecy Seminars.
  • Befriend new members and nurture them.
  • We Have No Time to Lose

The work of God in this earth can never be finished until the men and women comprising our church membership rally to the work and unite their effort with those of ministers and church officers.”

“The salvation of sinners requires earnest, personal labor. We are to bear to them the word of life, not to wait for them to come to us. Oh, that I could speak words to men and women that would arouse them to diligent action! The moments now granted to us are few. We are standing upon the very borders of the eternal world. We have no time to lose. Every moment is golden and altogether too precious to be devoted merely to self-serving. Who will see God earnestly and from Him draw strength and grace to be His faithful workers in the missionary field?

Development of Talent in the Churches
In every church there is talent, which, with the right kind of labor, might be developed to become a great help in this work. That which is needed now for the up-building of our churches is the nice work of wise laborers to discern and develop talent in the church—talent that can be educated for the Master’s use. There should be a well-organized plan for the employment of workers to go into all our churches, large and small, to instruct the members how to labor for the up-building of the church and also for unbelievers. It is training, education, that is needed. Those who labor in visiting the churches should give the brethren and sisters instruction in practical methods of doing missionary work. {9T 117.2}

All the preaching in the world will not make men feel deeply the need of perishing souls around them. Nothing will so arouse in men and women a self-sacrificing zeal as to send them forth into new fields to work for those in darkness. Prepare workers to go out into the highways and hedges. We need wise nurserymen who will transplant trees to different localities and give them advantages, that they may grow. It is the positive duty of God’s people to go into the regions beyond. Let forces be set at work to clear new ground, to establish new centers of influence wherever an opening can be found. Rally workers who possess true missionary zeal, and let them go forth to diffuse light and knowledge far and near. Let them take the living principles of health reform into the communities that to a large degree are ignorant of these principles.” Testimonies for the Church, Volume 9, page 117.
