A team of Seventh-day Adventist Pastors' wives have excited the residents of Wattuba village in Wakiso district following their aggressive participation in evangelism.

The team comprising over 100 pastors' wives headed by Mrs. Mary Oligye stormed the village on the 31st December 2011 and held a three weeks crusade in the area.

The humble and gentle ladies have also participated in several community activity work including clearing and digging up dug wells, building and repairing houses for the elderly and donating household and food items to the needy.

48 people have publicly joined the Seventh-day Adventist Church following a month on-air gospel crusade organized by Prime Radio-Uganda.

The crusade, the third of its kind, began on the 4th November and was crowned on Saturday 3rd December 2011 with the baptism of new converts at Kireka Hill SDA Church.

Pastor Patrick Mulindwa presided over the crusade that was hosted between 8:00pm to 9:00pm daily under the theme, “Galatians, Who Bewitched you?!”

New converts traveled from as far as 60 kilometers away from the radio station offices, which is situated next to the Central Uganda Conference Headquarters at Kireka Hill, Kiyudaaya Zone in Kampala City. They were following the directions which were being given by Prime Radio pastor, Make Mayanja who appealed to all those whose lives were challenged by the message to come and get baptized.

The President of the Adventist World Radio, Elder Dowell Chow has commended the great work done by the Prime radio in reaching out to masses for information, education and spread of the gospel. 

Elder Dowell ChowElder Dowell, who led a delegation from the Adventist World Radio headquarters in Silver Spring Maryland USA, visited the radio at its Kireka based offices near Kampala.
Dowell noted that though many homes have adopted the use of television as a means of communication, the radio has remained the most influential and effective channel.

"The radio continues to be the most cost efficient method of spreading the gospel in this church, while television has its place but people can listen to radio most," said Elder Dowell.

The Adventist World Radio President Elder Dowell Chow has arrived in Uganda for a three day working visit.

Elder Dowell Chow Elder Dowell accompanied by the African Region Training Director Ray Allan arrived in on the morning of November 9th aboard British Airways.

He will be visiting Prime Radio in Kampala, Maranatha fm in Jinja and Ebenezer fm in Mbale to assess the performance of these fm stations in spreading the gospel.
